Alum Creek State Park
These are some of the busiest mountain bike trails in Ohio. Alum Creek has three distinct trails and a skills park for riders of all levels. The park has 13 total trail miles. P1 and P2 are usually ridden counter-clockwise, but you can ride both directions when cycling traffic is slow and turn it in to 25 miles of unique singletrack.
These trails are maintained by the Central Ohio Mountain Bike Organization, also called COMBO. You can find the trail status at combomtb.com.
Beginner Loop

A 1.1 mile singletrack loop that is mostly flat. It has a couple of bridges, but nothing too tough or fancy. This is great for someone who has never gone mountain biking and wants to see if they are up to the challenge. It can also be a good warm-up loop before you hit P1.

Skills Park

There is a small skills park with several skinnies, log piles, a teeter-totter (currently broken) and other man-made obstacles.

Phase 1 Mountain Bike Trail:
P1 Intermediate Level
Six miles of singletrack that roll through the wooded ravines and along the banks of the reservoir in the state park. There are over 20 bridges, several log piles and a few other pieces of man-made trickery. This trail stays wet for several days after it rains.
Phase 2 Mountain Bike Trail:
P2 Advanced Level
A six mile singletrack loop with more advanced obstacles, skinnier bridges and larger obstacles blocking the path. This trail is located several miles from P1 and you might want to plan on driving from trail to trail if you want to do both. P2 drains well after rain, so head here if P1 is too sloppy.
